Distribution - Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea,
Philippines, South Africa, Thailand, Vietnam.

Other Names: Almaciga, Bindang, Dakua makadre, Damar minyak, Dammara pine, Dundatha pine, Menghilan, Queensland kauri pine, South Queensland kauri, Tolong.

Characteristics: The timber varies in colour from pale cream to light brown to medium pinkish-brown. It has a straight grain with a fine uniform texture. The timber weighs about 480 kg/m3 when dried.

Working Qualities: Easily worked and finished.

Uses: High-class joinery, cabinets, pattern making, boxes.
